Hola, LA SED.
First, a note for Mary Carmen Munoz: my dear ofd friend Belda Garza suggested I check in with you when I make this little donation. Though Belda and I have been friends since their Pancho’s on the Park days, this is the first time I’ve actually donated to LA SED. Better late than never, but in these insane ICE times, it’s a no-brainer.
Anyway I wanted to THANK YOU and all of you for your great, difficult, and effective work for the community all these long — 60 oh my! — years. I’m also so proud of you all and when I brag about Detroit, my heart/home town, LA SED shares the top of the list (with The Wright, DIA, AANM/Concert of Colors, Fifth Estate, Jazz Fest, Corktown’s Tim and Sarah, and a few other individual activists, like Belda).
