Homework Assistance: Students receive tailored support to complete assignments and manage their academic workload effectively.

Reading Development: We provide a variety of age-appropriate literary materials and assessments to track and improve reading comprehension and skills.

Math Skills Development: The program emphasizes core mathematical concepts, including basic operations, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

ELL Support: Extra help and resources are available for students learning English as a second language, fostering an inclusive educational experience.

Physical Education (PE): Physical activities are integrated into the program, promoting team-building skills, physical fitness, and overall well-being.

The program serves students in grades 1st through 5th, with a particular focus on English
Language Learners (ELL) and students who require additional academic support.
Program Goals:

Academic Improvement: Strengthen core academic skills, enhance test-taking strategies, and improve overall academic performance.

Differentiated Instruction: Provide individualized support for students with specific educational needs, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Social and Emotional Development: Cultivate a safe and supportive environment that promotes healthy social interaction and emotional growth among students.

– Core Academic Focus: Students engage in English Language Arts (ELA), including phonics, spelling, reading comprehension, and writing, as well as Mathematics, with a focus on basic operations, fractions, and problem-solving.

– Physical Education (PE): The program includes physical activities that promote teamwork, fitness, and healthy habits.

– Creative Arts: Students explore their creativity through art projects that tie into the program’s curriculum, encouraging self-expression and hands-on learning.

– Field Trips: Aligned with Michigan’s Core Standards, field trips provide students with immersive learning experiences in Science and Social Studies.

– Skill Development: Enhance academic abilities in reading, writing, and math, while fostering a deeper understanding of core subjects.

– Social and Emotional Growth: Provide a supportive space where students can develop socially, emotionally, and build strong relationships with peers and mentors, instilling confidence and self-esteem.
